Euro Trip Day 2

Windsor Castle

We started the day bright and early. We were up before the sun in order to give us enough time to make it to the bus station where we were to meet our tour bus for the day trip around the English country side. We packed up our backpacks and headed off to the Victoria Bus Station. We thought we had pretty good directions and knew where we were going. Key word: thought. We were directed to the Victoria Train Station. Incorrect. Then we find the bus station and the appropriate platform, but there was no bus there. We were there about 10 minutes before the bus was scheduled to leave. We were so confused and super frustrated. Luckily Lauren’s dad got he an international phone and I had the phone number of the tour company in my purse. Lauren gave the company a call and they could tell we were frantic. Apparently, there are TWO Victoria bus stations a few blocks apart. Who would do that?!?! So confusing! We literally ran as quickly as we could with our massive backpacks. We made it to our bus hot, sweaty and with about 2 minutes to spare. We were so relieved.

This video shows some of the highlights of our second day, which include:

  • the Roman Baths
  • English tea time
  • Stonehenge
  • Windsor Castle
  • Some English pub in Windsor (I wish I could remember the name.)
  • Harrods
