Last weekend my 4 best friends from Freshman year of college and I had a little reunion in Kansas City, Missouri. I love that no matter what we are doing in our lives we still make time to get together and see each other. We have all grown up a lot since we were 18, but we are still just as much fun. I love these ladies so much and this was one of the best weekends I have had in a long time.
On Friday night Myndee, Meagan, and I got to KC and we all met up at Kahlie’s loft downtown. We had a quick dinner at some place I can’t remember, in an area that I think is called City Market…I could be totally wrong on that. Then we quickly got ready and headed out to Power and Light.
Major bummer that this pic of me and Gwin is all washed out. It would have cute.
Here comes the evidence that we can not take a decent picture to save our lives. My apologies for the following very unfortunate photos.
Here is the best picture we took. Meg doesn’t like it, but approval from 4 out of the 5 of us isn’t bad.
The nest day we relived our college days by sleeping till noon. It was glorious! Then we got a bite from Planet Sub and continued our day by playing board games, chatting, and just bumming around. Here are some beautiful morning after pictures.
On Saturday night we decided to keep it low key because of the 5K the next morning. We dragged our lazy selves out of the apartment and went out to dinner at Kona Grill on the Plaza. So delicious! Then we saw Magic Mike at the movie theater on the plaza. Their movies are only $6 at night at $4 matinee. What a bargain! We were shocked! The plot line(s) of the movies wasn’t the greatest, but watching hot male strippers with your girlfriends made for a very fun evening.
Bright and early Sunday morning, we were off to Arrowhead Stadium for the Color Run. They aren’t lying when they call it the happiest 5K on the planet. It was a Blast! Here are some of my favorite pictures from the run. There is also a link to a video of all our pictures below.
Here is our before picture….
Here we are after…
Colorful, happy mugshots:
I had a wonderful time and now we are in the works of planning out next reunion…only more good times to come!
